Inclusive Business & Product Models: Going Beyond Corporate Social Responsibility

In the the last ten years, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Blake Mycoskie (Tom’s Shoes), and others have challenged the traditional model of late capitalism. Instead of blindly adopting the false dichotomy of corporations versus charity, or the maximization of profit versus bettering social well-being, many companies are adopting new economic models and new technology to affect social change, like shared value economics and conscious capitalism. We explore how technology is integral to redefining what “value” truly means–and to whom–in this new stage of late capitalism.
