Dr. Enes Karaaslan is the co-founder and CEO of Connected Wise, an Orlando based start-up working on a unique technology to help autonomous vehicles navigate safely in challenging roadway environments. His entrepreneurship journey started after a successful technology transfer from interdisciplinary Ph.D. research in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Connected Automated Vehicles. He obtained a $1,000,000 federal grant for Connected Wise through the Small Business Innovation Research program at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Enes is also a post-doctoral scholar at the University of Central Florida where he has published numerous academic papers and generated patents on using artificial intelligence and mixed reality for smart transportation infrastructure.
